Emily Benson-Scott is a freelance travel writer, poet, and adjunct professor based in New York City. She received her B.A. in International Relations from Cornell University and her M.F.A in creative writing from Goddard College and now teaches English Composition and Literature at LaGuardia Community College in Queens, NY.
Her travel writing has appeared in:
The London Daily Telegraph, Time Out New York, Delta Sky Magazine, Postcards Magazine, Venice, Ultratravel, South Florida Luxury Magazine, and Global Writes. She is also a member of IFWTWA, the International Food Wine and Travel Writer’s Association.

Unless a specific assignment beckons her to a new location– including recent trips to Iceland, Scotland and Mexico–she and her husband divide their time between New York City, the South of France, and the Florida Keys.
